Nishiki is a premium grade of specially selected California-grown medium grain rice. Nishiki rice has excellent water retention and will yield individual grains that lightly stick together without being overly sticky. It is versatile and is suitable for applications such as sushi, rice balls, and daily consumption. Brown rice is unpolished rice with only the inedible husk removed. It retains the bran and cereal germ of the rice grain which results in a chewier rice that is more nutritious and flavorful.
