Lemongrass is a type of tropical grass that gets its name from its strong lemon-like aroma. Lemongrass along with galangal and kaffir lime leaf form the basis of Southeast Asian cuisine. It has gained a cult following for its rising prominence as an ingredient for mixed drinks.
Uses: Smash with the flat of your knife and add to your lemonades, sodas, and alcoholic beverages. Slice thinly and add to soups, stews, curries, and stir-fry dishes. Chew on a small piece to look cool and have fresh breath.
