King trumpet mushroom, often used interchangeably with king oyster mushroom or royal trumpet mushroom, have a dense chewy texture and rich umami flavor that is comparable to meat or seafood. These mushrooms are eaten mostly for their long, flavorful stems rather than their caps. King trumpet mushrooms are commonly used as a meat substitute due to their excellent consistency and taste.
