Sumiyaki, literally charcoal roasted in Japanese, is a traditional method of roasting coffee using hot, glowing charcoal as the heat source. It is an artisanal, labor-intensive process that produces a more full-bodied, complex, and smooth flavor in the finished coffee with a slightly smoky taste. Sumiyaki coffee is especially delicious with its rich taste, mellow bitterness, and drift aroma without sourness.
This coffee uses a proprietary coffee filter technology that allows for an individual drip coffee brewing experience. Just attach to the top of your cup and pour water over the filter.
