Napa cabbage is large with tender leaves and stalks. It is the cabbage of choice for making kimchi. Napa cabbage is ubiquitous in Asian cuisine and is a symbol of wealth and prosperity. This vegetable is edible both raw and cooked, packed full of nutrients, and has a sweet mild flavor.
Uses: Peel the leaves and remove the hard stem at the bottom of the leave. Slice napa cabbage for use in stir-fry dishes. Use the tender center leaves raw as wraps for seafood or grilled meats.
One head of cabbage is about 3-4 lbs on average.
