Muscadine, also known as Italian grape, is a variety of black seeded grape with exceptional flavor. These berries are slip-skin: the skin is particularly thick and can be easily peeled from the flesh by hand. Muscadine grapes are very sweet and incredibly fragrant with a distinctive muscadine flavor that is prominently berry-like with undertones of black currant, concord grape jelly, and fresh muskmelon. These American-grown grapes are seasonally available and highly coveted.
