Nam, also known as nham, naem, and chin som, is a lactic-fermented pork sausage originating from Thailand that is a staple of Southeast Asian cuisine. Nam is made from ground pork, pork rinds, garlic, and seasonings. It has a unique texture and rich savoriness that make it an excellent addition to a variety of foods such as eggs, sticky rice, fried rich, and stir-fried noodles. These delicious sausages are ready-to-eat straight out of the package although they are most commonly cooked.
