Taihaku white sesame oil is made by cold pressing raw white sesame seeds in contrast to conventional sesame oils that use toasted seeds. Pure sesame oil is clear and golden in color with a clean and neutral flavor with a complex taste. This oil brings out the natural flavor of other ingredients and is an excellent ingredient for cooking, baking, confectionery, or sauces. Untoasted sesame oil has a smoke point of almost 450°F so it is an excellent cooking oil for searing or sautéing.
