Sukoyaka rice is a type of genmai: brown rice that has been lightly milled of the outer bran layer resulting in tender, faster-cooking rice. It is a harmonious balance between nutrition and flavor. Unlike conventional brown rice, genmai cooks the same as white rice yielding tender and delicious results while retaining the earthy flavor and nutrition of brown rice. Brown rice is healthier than white rice and contains more than twice the amount of fiber, potassium, vitamin B, and vitamin E.
