Mallika is a hybrid mango cultivar resulting from a cross between the Neelum and Dasheri variants. The name "Mallika" is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning "queen." Mallika is considered one of India's best quality dessert mango. It is very sweet with smooth, fiberless flesh that is tender and exceptionally juicy, making it highly enjoyable to eat. It has a bright green color that becomes orange as it ripens. Mallika mangoes have a enticing tropical flavor that has hints of sweet citrus, pineapple, and cantaloupe.
This might be the largest mango you've ever seen. Not available in most retail stores due to its scarcity.
