Tsuyu is a concentrated sauce base made by fortifying soy sauce with tremendous amounts of bonito flakes, sake, mirin, and kombu. Tsuyu is an essential condiment used to create the dipping sauce for soba and udon noodles. Tsuyu is also an excellent building block for dressings, soups, and sauces.
Uses: Dilute or use tsuyu as desired for tempura, gyudon, soba, udon, and simmered dishes. A simple ratio of 1:1 base to water is enough for most dips.
Ingredients: Soy sauce (water, soybean, wheat, salt), fish flavor, sugar, salt, monosodium glutamate, caramel color.
