Kaya, also known as coconut jam, is a sweet condiment and spread made from coconut milk, eggs, and sugar. The word kaya means rich in the Malay language due to the decadent texture of the jam. Coconut jam is immensely popular in Southeast Asia where it is consumed daily with a variety of breakfast foods, desserts, and snacks.
Uses: Kaya spread is traditionally eaten with toast but it is equally delicious as a topping for desserts and pastries or as a dip for fresh fruit.
