Golden kiwis are the berries of flowering woody vines that are native to central China and Eastern China that are now being farmed primarily in New Zealand. These fruits have tender yellow flesh with a pronounced sweetness and a rich tropical aroma. These kiwis are significantly sweeter and less acidic than conventional green kiwis.
Uses: Kiwis make a great addition to smoothies or fruit salads. Kiwi fruit has enzymes they tenderize meat: add a crushed kiwi to your marinades to make a tough cut of meat incredibly tender.
