Tianjing cucumbers, also known as Japanese cucumbers, are an heirloom variety of melon characterized by their long, slender shape and distinctively crunchy texture. These cucumbers are crisp, refreshing, and mildly sweet with a striking melon flavor. Tianjing cucumbers have a particularly thin skin and do not need to be peeled before being eaten. Any spines can be removed by gently wiping the melons with a towel.
Uses: Smash cucumbers with the flat of your knife and marinate with your favorite sauce for a delicious smashed cucumber salad.
