Mexican Cream guavas, also known as tropical yellow guavas, are a tropical fruit native to Central America. Guava have soft, edible seeds with a creamy white flesh that is full of aroma. Mexican Cream guavas are sweet with a strong guava flavor and notes of pineapple and passion fruit.
Uses: Guavas should be left to ripen at room temperature to intensify their flavor and sweetness. Guavas can be eaten whole but their seeds and peel can be removed if found undesirable. Guavas are naturally high in pectin and make for great jam and jellies when slow-cooked.
