Konnyaku, also known as konjac, is made from Japanese mountain yam. It has a bouncy texture, translucent appearance, and mild, earthy flavor. Konyakku is used in a lot of traditional Japanese soupy foods such as nabe. The bouncy texture makes for a refreshing flavor that can be eaten daily.
Uses: Konnyaku comes whole and can be cut to preference for use in soups, stir-frys, and any other preparations.
