Harusame, also referred to as alimentary pasta, are a type of Japanese noodle that is made from a mixture of potato and corn starch. Harusame are transparent when cooked and neutral in flavor with a pleasant, slightly slippery texture. These noodles are excellent hot or cold and hold their shape very well even during extended cooking such as in nabe or stews.
Uses: Cook noodles in simmering water for 5-7 minutes or until tender. Rinse with cold water and then use as desired.
