Kiwifruit, also known as the Chinese gooseberry, is a fuzzy-skinned berry originating from China and widely cultivated in New Zealand. Hardy red kiwis are naturally high in anti-oxidants and bursting with sweet berry flavor.
Uses: Kiwis make a great addition to smoothies or fruit salads. Kiwifruit contain enzymes that tenderize meat: add a crushed kiwis to your marinades to tenderize tough cuts of meat.
