These apples were originally developed in Aomori, Japan, as a cross between two American heritage breeds: Red Delicious and old Virginia Ralls Genet. Fujis are often considered the gold standard for apples in regards to flavor, sweetness, and texture.
Uses: Apples are excellent peeled and roasted with butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook apples with water until completely soft to make cider. Put apples into your smoothies for extra fiber and sweetness.
