Jalapeño peppers are a richly aromatic pepper with a mild to medium amount of spiciness. They are perfect for adding a little bit of kick and a lot of flavor to your foods. The capsaicin of peppers come from the white pith and ribs which can be removed to reduce the spiciness.
Uses: Jalapeños make an excellent addition to salsas and dips. Cooking jalapeños will reduce its spiciness: slow cooked foods like chili or braises should receive a little bit extra. Jalapeño scrambled eggs are delicious.
