Habaneros are a type of hot chili pepper that are grown for their rich flavor and spiciness. Habaneros are often the benchmark for comparing other chili peppers: their unique flavor is fruity, floral, and sweet and an intense dry heat. Habanero peppers range between 100,000 and 350,000 Scoville heat units making them anywhere between ten to a hundred times hotter than your average jalapeño pepper. The capsaicin of peppers come from the white pith and ribs which can be removed to reduce the spiciness.
Uses: Habaneros are an amazing addition to salsas, sauces, and chilis. These chili peppers pair exceptionally well with mango.
